We perform pre-purchase examinations (“vettings”) on thoroughbreds including racehorses, foals, yearlings, broodmares and stallions; sport horses and leisure horses. Our clinicians are experienced in the whole vetting process, and can tailor the examination to the purchaser’s requirements and the horses intended use. We have representatives on the pre and post-sale Veterinary Panels at Tattersalls Ireland and Goffs, and also on the panel of Hong Kong Jockey Club Nominated Veterinarians. We are in attendance at most major thoroughbred sales.
We examine horses for local and overseas clients, including horses for export to all the major horseracing and breeding countries. With horses being purchased for export, our administrative team work closely with shipping agents to ensure compliance with each individual country’s specific import requirements, and aim to make the process as smooth as possible.
As most of our diagnostic equipment (endoscopy, digital ultrasound and digital radiography) is portable, these vettings can be carried out at any suitable premises as well as at our clinic.
